I will keep this short and sweet, I am home from hospital. Dr Popp removed 62 lymph nodes from my neck/throat/shoulder area and I am thrilled to report that all 62 were tested and are cancer free.
This surgery took a lot out of me. I have 37 staples in my neck. I also have two drainage tubes coming out of my chest to drain excess fluid. My throat and neck are swollen from the invasiveness. My neck, chest, right shoulder and part of face are numb. I must remain upright to control swelling and drainage.
The recovery process may be rough and lengthy but it’s easier to endure with good news and such great family (and pain meds).
I will begin Immunotherapy in aprox a month.
Thanks to all,
