First of all, let us all remember and say a prayer for those who lost their lives and the heros of 9/11. God Bless.
I am back in Houston with my parents. We arrived here a few days ago and after PET scans, CT scans and MRI’s, my doctors have decided to push forward with bio-chemotherapy. My scan results were mixed. The spot on my lungs looks to have gone away with the treatment. This is good news. On the other hand, the tumor near my left femur and my right calf have progressed.
My doctors have decided to go forward with bio-chemo because it seems to be working in the lungs, but we are adding radiation to the schedule. Just after this round of bio-chemo, I will start a 10 day radiation treatment plan. Both my left thigh/femur area, and my right calf will receive radiation. The hope is to eliminate or greatly reduce the tumors in those areas. After completing the radiation, I will begin round four of bio-chemo.
So, a lot of treatment and therapy to come, but we are hopeful that the combination of chemo and radiation will benefit me in the long run.
I will be admitted for round three of bio-chemotherapy tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Again, I will be in the hospital for about a week and maybe plus some depending on how I handle the treatment and radiation.
Thank you for the love and support.
